it does fly with the nose slightly pointed up yes. As far as I know this is normal behaviour also in the real thing. Depending on your airspeed the nose will point up more or less to create more or less lift to keep the aicraft in the air at the speed you are flying. If it is pointing up at a large angle check your speed! A common mistake is that you are flying too high with the current weight of the aircraft. You can find the max. altitude in the FMC. When the plane is fully loaded with passengers and fuel the max. alt is around FL310. When you burn off more fuel you will be able to go higher.

how high should the nose be (realistically) at FL350 just after takeoff at 250 knots (KIAS)?

mine currently looks like this and it looks a little extreme to me :s

it doesnt look to bad at this angle but from the side it looks so steep that passengers would probably have trouble walking from the back to the front! :o has an incline of about 15 degrees or more

what is the max altitude the FMC tells you is possible? FL410 with 72% fuel seems much too high to me. try this at fl310 for instance and see how it looks then.

The FMC (flight management computer) is a huge part of the airplane. Without it it would be hard to fly. The radio's e.g. can only be set in the FMC.

IF you need to find anything in the FMC I suggest you start by reading the manual. It comes included with a rather extensive one.

Hi Lim Zhen,

I think, right after takeoff, with full load, a 7 degrees pitch is normal, and it should decrease to 2..3 at the end of the trip. I remember when travelled on a 747 to Korea, I felt that I see upward, when looking into the nose, but I was not sure in my feelings. Then I was walking on the deck, and I could feel this too a little. :)

um there's no manual cause this is the meljet version, like i mentioned earlier. i posted the question here cause i wanted a comparison with the PMDG version.

problem is even at the end of the trip the nose is still pointed up ridiculously high (i think). does anyone know which parameter affects this? maybe i can try tweaking it a little myself :P

btw that's "Zhen Yi" and not "Lim Zhen" :]
