Hi Guys, I have tried through both fly-euroharmony.com and through euroharmony.com and both page links are dead for the A330 and the B777

Thanks for sorting that Robert.

Well I have got them both up and running and what a pair of stunning liveries. Once again, another great job done! Thanks very much. (The A330 is an absolute peach to look at, but that is due to the fact that it is a much better looking plane than the 777 in Real Life!)

Cheers, when I see you, I'll get you a beer!

OK, I have another little problem with the A330.... On my setup, it's using the A340 Panel. (4 engines!) Anybody got any ideas why?

Cheers,

Phil

If I remember well, those are in 1 package, and the panel is red from outside the aircraft library. There is another "blind" aircraft something like PSS-pro and the sounds and panels are stored there. Maybe your A330 was simply aliased to the A340 panel ?

What I do not like in both Project Opensky and PSS versions is the A330 is not bow ahead. If you see real world pictures it is gently bowing ahead on the ground and it gives her a special looking. But in FS the model is too much parallel with the ground.

Hi Robert, all my standard A330-300's have the correct panel and I have put the EHM textures in the the same A330 folder and adjusted the Air file as instructed, for some reason, this one shows up with the A340 panel :%

For now I have ovecome this by copying just the textures in to the house A330-300 RR and flying with that. I will look in to this problem at a later date.

Well you can check these 2 points:

1. your Aircraft.cfg [flightsim.EHM] section contains:
panel= (nothing)

2. Your panel.cfg contains:
alias=pssab-pro\panel.330

3. The above directory exists in your aircraft folder.

Or any equivalent combination, that leads your panel path to pssab-pro\panel.330 :)

Then it should work ;)

Thanks Robert,

Checked and correct! Still got 4 engines on the EICAS. This is very weird. I will keep investigating.

Hi all,

Something comepletely different, but when i fly the PSS-model on PP, i get penalized for switching off the landinglights below 10000 ft. The model does this automatically by retracting the landinggear, does anybody know how to avoid this, without retracting above 10000ft?

It can't be done, I've been on to PSS support about it and there is no way around it. Just one of those strange anomolies of the aircraft. (All the PSS Airbuses do it)

Thanks Phil i could'nt find it either there but i thought i give it a try.  Maybe management can do something about it by not giving these penaltys when you fly these PSS busses, same problem as with the rotating beacon on the PMDG 744 i always get penalized for it, but tey're always on. Guess i've got to live with it ;D

Phil,

I remember (vaguely) seeing a series of posts in the PSS forum about aliasing the PSS panel to other aircraft and one of the issues that came up was that the PSS panel assigns the EICAS style to your aircraft according to the Title line in the aircraft cfg file - so I'd suggest checking the Title line of your PSS bus to see if it's similar to the original title for the A330...

I've only got the PSS A340 but the title has to follow the same pattern - eg from mine:- "Title=PSS A340-200 CFM House". Make sure you have the first part in the same order including the engine type (CFM/IAE) then put freetext (EHM) at the end of the line. That's what the panel is looking for to decide what engines and consequently what EICAS shows up. I think if you don't follow this pattern it defaults to the four engine EICAS...

Of course this is just from memory so I could be on the wrong track !!!

Dom,

You are a legend! That cured the problem straight away. Thanks very much.

For anybody else who is experiencing problems, the text to be included in your AIRCRAFT.CFG file is as follows:

[fltsim.xx]
title=PSS A330-300 RR EHM
ui_variation=PSS A330-300 RR EHM
sim=A333
ui_type=Class 6
sound=RR
model=RR333
texture=ehm
atc_airline=Euroharmony
panel=
checklists=
atc_id=AB333
atc_flight_number=100
atc_heavy=0
ui_manufacturer=Euroharmony
visual_damage=1
description=PSS A330/A340 Pro Series With R.E.A.L Features.  COPYRIGHT 2002 PHOENIX SIMULATION SOFTWARE

(the xx should be replaced with the next number available in your list of aircraft in the file)

Robert you may want to change the text in the included readme file with the livery download, just a thought.

Thanks again Dom!

Regarding Neils post above about the PSS landing light problem....... I don't suppose this could be considered for the next Flogger update could it? It could check for Landing Lights on landing and takeoff instead of below FL100. Just a thought, especially as we now have the fantastic repaint for the PSS A330. (It would be nice to have it available for ProPilot flights)
