It could be a monument/building in your
area, an hangar at one of EHM's hub or
anything that you fancy and it's appropriate
to be part of the landscape in Flight Simulator.

And how should these models be recognized or inserted in FS? AFCAD maybe, or some other compilers? If U have any knowledge about it Manu, I would like to hear it... I have experience in making game-ready models, but conversion was done by client, depending on the engine game uses.
If inserting custom objects in FS is no fuss, than hey, we'll have all our hubs marked! For a start...

Cheers

Technically, every 3D object is a BGL file with real world coordinates. If you put it into your main scenery folder, it will appear in the game undependent to what kind of main sceneries you use.

BGL files are export from by a kind of "codec".

Hi there Robert,
I am just reading gmax sdk reference at msn, as well as some other articles about implanting custom objects and models into FS.
BGL is about traffic, I think, MDL is about scenery or any other.

I am still reading, though, and trying to learn more about it.
Thanks

Dejan, just noticed your post.
I don't know the specifics of how to import Gmax scenary models
into FS. I just know it's possible and sounds like you are looking
exactly where I'd look to find such information.

Ciao ciao!

Manu

MDL contains only aircraft model, while BGL contains scenery object/object group, that is why this extension also attached to AI traffic objects/routes too.

@Robert:
You are 100% right Robert, didn't mean otherwise, sorry. After making more extensive search, I found that out myself.

@Manu:
Hehe, searching did show results, I figured it out. It's not that difficult if you know the modeling part, just few more tricks to get it into FS.
Thanks for your effort.

So, what should we make:)??
I thought to start from a simple EHM hangars(large, medium) placed at our hubs...
Will keep you posted.

I'm currently working on that now, albeit at a very slow pace due to being tied up (unexpectedly) at school from the beginning of the holidays right till the end (some holiday) :% besides i have no experience at all, you could probably roll all of them out before i even get one done :P :]

You could work together maybe, splitting the workload.

Hey Zhen Yi, don't look down on yourself.. if U have will, you will have a skill guaranteed!:)
You are still young, so if U start now, I can't imagine where you'll be in 10yrs!;)

I am doing 2D&3D for 7 years, and to tell you the truth I feel retarded comparing to my profession community:)

Start small, do some static as you planned, few crates here, ladders there, things like that.

If U need any help, I would be glad to provide it!
Cheers

Dejan is absolutely right Zhen Yi,

I've been doing 3D computer graphics for 9 yrs
and I'm already working on some of the best
projects in the industry.

A person said once: people overestimate what
they can do in one year, but underestimate what
they can do in ten. I totally believe in that.

Give yourself time and enjoy the steps along
the way.
