overspeed penalties

I just got another overspeed penalty through no fault of my own(again).I was cruising at 330kts in a A320 and the wind pushed me to 360kts(overspeed) in a split second. :!
I was thinking that maybe we could add something to PP so that when an aircraft goes overspeed, it can determine if it was the pilot setting the autopilot to overspeed or normal speed.
a possible way may be for PP to calculate the aceleration of the plane so that it will know if it is wind causing it as the wind blows our aircraft to overspeed in less than a second.
Maybe this could be added to the G-force penalties because sometimes a strong wind may push your aircraft to a certain angle, causing excess G-forces.
I hope this can be added to PP as i am already building up overspeed penalties collection because of the wind:]

Wow, that would be a very complex thing to integrate into the FLogger... but if the MTs are willing then I have no problem with it!
It must have been a strong wind to accelerate the plane another 30KIAS in a second!

You can reduce the chances of an overspeed due to wind change by altering the wind smoothing in FSUIPC. I have set the wind smoothing on my FSUIPC to 5 in the second box which is the time in seconds for each 1 degree of wind change, and I have not experienced any overspeed problems due to wind change. However with some aircraft you can get an overspeed when the aircraft turns, if you are flying close to the overspeed marker because the auto throttle is not good enough to control the speed, the only way to compensate for this is not to fly any closer to the overspeed marker than about 20kts. Hope this helps.

I cant do that as i have to register before i can use that option of wind smoothing.
and also, the speed limit was 355kts but i was at 330kts.

Hi,
Our flight logger uses FSUIPC information to retrieve the penalties.
So, if the FSUIPC (consequentally FS) tells us that you were on overspeed, than you really were
..
Actually, what Bruce says is 100% correct, and can avoid that penalty.

Doesn't IVAP do weather smoothing, regardless of FSUIPC version? (I have paid for FSUIPC, with have all the smoothing turned on, and ActiveSky 6 for weather, so I don't remember exactly what the weather features in IVAP are...)

might be a stupid question but...
regarding IVAP weather smoothing, does it work for offline flying?
