How do i add my avatar

i know how to make the avatar with the badgegenerator but i still dont no how to conect it to my profile? in my setings is an avatar url but i dont know how to use it i cant conect or uppload it there.

Ok, This is what I do:

first, you make the Badge, and save it in a folder, and call it anything you like. Then go to http://www.imageshack.us and upload the file there. Once it's finished uploading, it will give you a series of URL's. Copy and paste the URL called "hotlink for forums" then paste it into the URL bit of the avater. that should work;D

Its the "control panel" option on the top right of your browser (you must be logged in)
