Separation between the two planes were just 35ft.

that brings back similarities of the Pan-Am and KLM crash in Tenerife on March 27th 1977 where one airliner was taxiing and the other taking off although that was done in adverse weather conditions and both planes did actually collide but its lucky the same thing didnt happen here or Chicago O'Hare ATC would have numerous deaths on their hands - what could have been eh? :%  so very lucky....... thank god!  ;)
