Made a very nice flight yesterday with Tim..we flew from KATL - TNCM...

At TNCM, there was a C3 exam taking place, so the examiner asked me to perform a failure...

After departure it was a left turn, we made a parallel departure, and here is a picture of us climbing away...



Initial Cruise was FL330, with a step climb to FL370...



Other traffic in the USA!!



Over some nice Islands, close to Cuba...





Just starting descent, the examiner asked me to perform a failure in order to test the examinee...So i chose to simulate a left engine failure, when passing FL160 I cut the fuel supply on the number 2 engine, and declared an emergency...






Now on final for 09 at TNCM, the approach is non precision...Landing with one engine, the number 1 pod...
I have deflected the rudder slightly to compensate for the loss in power...

If there is heavy traffic I would love to try out Squawkcode 7600 with some engine failure aswell..... Nice shoots the Jonathan
