Anyone for Beluga..?
« on: June 21, 2007, 01:43:00 pm »
Just seen on another Forum that the FSFrance team have brought out a Beluga - the Airbus heavylifter!

It flies well and looks... well, I'll let you make up your own minds ;)

Worth a try for something very different to fly ;D

If you want one, the link is here.

Enjoy!

i just downloaded it a few days before, it looks great ;D its even got the nose section of a aircraft inside the cargo hold, really good model.   the spoilers are pretty big for that plane compared to the A300 or A310 :]

I had an older version of the Beluga. It was strange, on take off, the wheels would suddenly disappear, the cargo door would always be open (for natural air conditioning I guess :]). And try landing, the wheels would suddenly re-appear when approaching the runway. It was fun, but I am always sore about the cockpit view.

I like to fly newer planes for the different looks in the cockpit. But often when you fly a plane with 4 engines, its the 747's cockpit thats used, 2 engine, its the 737's .... and so on. Ofcourse making a cockpit is difficult, I wish I could learn and buy the tools as required for the same!!!

Thanks for the link on Beluga, its a huge size ... 40+ MB, but I think it will be worth the download as it should contain all the features. At the time of writing this, I am only 50% on the download ;)

Its worth looking at the plane and then doing a google to find the fish named Beluga. Lots of similarities, except for the wing span, as the whale need no keep himself afloat in the air for long ;).:P

Check out these links for the beluga fish.

I agree with you Janos. The A320 has been my favourite plane ... Let me add Beluga to the list too....

Flying the Beluga ... hmmm what can I say, its just magnificent. The huge bird takes a while, a good roll on the runway, I love to push it to the full length of the runway and then pull my nose up to hit the sky...

I love the roar of the engines that the two engines produce. I am quite impressed with its maneuvering skills too. The shape is really cool, I sometime wonder how the bird really flies, with such an odd shape!!

Kudos to the original designers of this plane and also the FS Beluga team!!!
