Hardware question

Good Morning!

I´m wondering if anyone of you uses the Saitek Pro Flight Joke System?

If yes, whats your experiences with it.
I just tested it for a very short time at the German FS Conference in Paderborn and I really liked it. What do you think about it.

Regards

Manuel

Hi Manuel
Good morning to you too.
Yes I am using the Saitek yoke and pedals.
Working ok but there is a problem.
After start up I have to disconnect and connect again the USB connector, while the computer is running, otherwise I will get unwanted commandos from the yoke.
There are a lot of articles about this peoblem on the internet, just check the Saitek forum.
Cheers,
Jaap

Manuel,
I use the Saitek X52 no pedals. Very useful specially after setting the different modes and commands can help a lot to manage the flight without using the KB that much.
Cheers,
Hector

Good pilots keep their number of landings equal to their number of takeoffs. Takeoffs are optional but landings are Mandatory.

Hi

Thanks for your replys
I browsed the Saitek forums for the "unexpected commandos" issue and that seems to be a real problem. I´ll wait and see what the new batch in early 2008 will bring. Perhaps they´ll have a solution then.

Jaap, is the problem solved, if you reconnect the yoke after startup??

Does anyone have experiences with the yoke of CH - Products??

Kind regards

Manuel

OK Manuel, yes so far this solution works with me.
Flew before with the CH-products yoke, that never gave any problem.
It is a pity that the Saitek one has this problem because the mechanical construction, especially of the pedals,is much better than the CH one.
Cheers,
Jaap

Heheheeh thats an act of war ! xD

Anyways Im using the x52 too and havent had a problem yet. I recently bought it as a "christmas present" :P, i was considering going for the yoke but after reading so many posts about errors and missbehaviours and such, me being in Portugal, id have to order it from the UK or something, and to return it in case of a malfunction itd be too expensive... so to save me from all those risks, i ordered an X52 from a local retailer.
