Leg 06/15 - DRZF to FTTD
« on: January 14, 2009, 12:50:58 pm »
Hello to all,

I am sure that all of us participating to the event really enjoy it. to make it more fun, could we try to communicate our planned days/hours for next leg (s) so we may organise ourselves to start/fly/land as much as possible at the same time (either on IVAO or VATSIM)? An idea would be to post a message on the forum giving intentions?
Thks for your input

That's great.

Tonight I am going to fly the third leg, around 21:00z on IVAO.

I'll (hopefully) be flying leg 3 (DATM-GAGO)  on IVAO tonight c. 1900Z (assuming the install of IVAP I will have to do on my netbook works... otherwise I'm offline again)

UPDATE: I'm having no luck installing IVAP, so I'm offline for another leg. Sorry :(

I'll be flying this leg on IVAO tomorrow morning c.0900Z at a wild guess (depends on how long it takes me to get ASA and the FSX graphics all set up...)

If anyone feels like joining me don't arrive too early because I know full well FSX will be starting me on the runway and I'll need to taxi off it before I prep to depart.

Murray, i'll try to be there also, but I'm not IVAO member (VATSIM only). So , I do not know whether I will be able to "watch" you on FSNAV.. We'll see :)

W00t! Thanks Eric-Jan (on IVAO) and Giancarlo (on VATSIM).

Gian, we had a nasty x-wind at FTTD (12kts at 80deg to rwy 22) on both IVAO and ActiveSky. Did you have similarly nasty weather?

Nice to be flying with you too, Murray!

I am working on some pictures now. Will post them later in the picture thread, but here's one sample already to show my struggle to get her on the tarmac:

With almost no fuel left, she is light and susceptible to x-wind...

More pictures to follow soon.

See y'all up there!
Eric-Jan

P.S. Murray, if you look closely on the apron there is one pixel slightly darker. That would be you, haha!

Next leg, FEFF - FZIA.
I will be flying from about 13:30(Z) on Sunday, Feb. 1st

Will do the IFR-VFR thing as I described in my C.N. picture diary.
That is: NDB to NDB,

LIB freq.336 172deg
GEM freq.270 109deg
LIS freq.324 121deg
BBA freq.285 088deg
KIS freq.315 121deg

And BBA-KIS will be VFR along the Congo river, weather permitting

Anyone care to join?
Please feel free to do so!
