Tour R&R question
« on: June 05, 2010, 08:43:12 pm »
As unusual it may seem for an MT member to ask about rules and regulations in the public forum, here I am, because I think there are a few others interested in the answer to my question:

All our tour descriptions state that "You may complete and report this tour only once in your pilot career for EuroHarmony". But what does that mean exactly?

It's obvious enough one cannot claim a second badge for re-completing a tour. By the other hand, there are some tour legs (especially within the world tour... sigh) that I would love to re-fly, just for fun, sightseeing and relaxation; is it allowed to do this and subsequently post a PIREP to have the flight recorded?

Otherwise I think I should better go NOW create a new tour :)

Ruddy good question Andrei, and I doubt any of us in the MT can rightly say why that condition is in there.

Obviously I'm not speaking for all of us in the MT, but, *I* think that not preventing pilots from flying particular tour legs that they enjoyed flying would be a nice idea, once the pilot has completed the tour in question.

I'd definitely agree with that one - after all, the Tours are designed for relaxation away from IFR scheduled flights so I think pilots should be free to do a Tour, or a part of one, as many times as they like ;)

Tour R&R question
« Reply #3 on: June 06, 2010, 03:52:17 pm »
Hi Folks:

Totally agree that ALL tours be available at any time our Pilots wish to utilize them and also given credit for same.

Is it an over simplification to "Just do it" and impose the number 2 or whatever number over the tour emblem?

A lot of work goes into getting these Tours up and running and as suggested previously, a welcome addition
to our normal Flying.

Dan
