Capitals of Europe Tour

Hi mates,

I just reached ATP level, and I want to ride my favourite, the B747. I thought I will start the tour for the Euro flag award with this plane. The question is if this plane is fit for this tour. As I discovered the shortest runway is at Skopje - LWSK with a length of 8050 fts. After the specs, is the B747 able to land and takeoff on a so short runway?

It all looks very complicated, but I think pages 26 and 38 are the ones that apply to our model of the 747. Basically what the graphs seem to show is that if you reduce the weight by only putting in a small amount of the possible maximum fuel (I'd say 25% to reduce the weight by about 200,000lb) then you should be able to do it.

Obviously these graphs apply to the real world, who knows what could happen in FS, but you could always give it a try. Good luck.

if u want to fly it that much... land with the brakes on RTO.. and just fork out for brakes and tires..

you should be able to do it but just to be safe try to land a little bit before the start of the runway!

I tried to land and takeoff with full of fuel, and I was able to do it. Touchdown speed was around 150 kts only, so I could stop the plane before the grass I want to modify a bit the 747 dynamics and I afraid I will not be able to do it after the modifications
