New for 2011: Beechcraft B1900D with VC

(1/4) > >>

EHM-1465 Dominic:
As you'll have seen in the news section, we're bringing you lots of new features and developments in 2011!

The first one is a fantastic new model of our popular Class 1 aircraft, the Beechcraft B1900D, with full VC and cabin. The model is by Premier Aircraft Designs and it has been beautifully repainted by our newest Management Team member, Eric-Jan Oud. Thanks E-J and welcome to the team ;)

Here are a few screenshots to tempt you all to try her out, don't forget this plane can now be used on the Class 1 Main Fleet routes into Castlegar serving destinations such as Vancouver, Calgary, Seattle, Spokane and Salt Lake City - so you can really enjoy the views of the Rockies from your VC ;)

EHM-2387 Eric-Jan:
Thanks David!
And have fun flying the new B1900D!
(I've flown 2 PP ones to CYCG already ;))

EHM-2131 Bruce:
Hi all just done a 1.5 hour flight with the new bird, seems faster and better handling than the old one, also more fuel is used; old one was 600lb/hr new one did on this trip anyway was 1077lb/hr, the VC is great. look forward to many more trips, congrats to all involved. Regards Bruce EHM-2131

EHM-2387 Eric-Jan:
Real=world fuel consumption for the B1900D is some 110 gallons per hour. With about 9 pounds per gallon, that adds up to 1000 lbs/hr.
So the PAD model seems more realistic.
Also, in the Twin Otter I noticed that playing with the prop feather lever, and the throttle, I can get almost 50% change in fuel consumption with the same airspeed. I'm guessing that the same goes for the B1900D.

Glad you like the VC ;)
