Hopefully a simple problem
« on: May 16, 2008, 07:22:38 am »
Hello,

I have difficulty to control my speed with the joystick: when I want to reduce speed it falls to zero, and if I increase it goes to fullthrottle maxi. This is very frustrating in particular when I have to control speed below 250IAS, or while landing propilot penalties...:). I tried all the settings commands but without success. Am I missing something? Any input would be very much appreciated!
Thks in advance,
Gian

Have you calibrated your joystick? Does it have a throttle 'wheel' or lever? If this doesn't work you might want to go back to using the F2 and F3 buttons to control throttle as they may be more precise (if you tap them briefly each time you want to increase/decrease).

Or better still get yourself a yoke and throttle set-up - I haven't looked back since :P

Check the sensitivities and dead zones for your axis under the joystick options (inside FS and outside if the joystick has its own software too...)
What kind of joystick are you using?
