Take a look at this
Photo here

What makes the MD-11 have such spectacular contrails and vortices, is it wing shape, speed, angle of attack or just luck.

Just wondering if the clever people of EHM have anything that could help me to find out the reason for this.

Just had a brain wave. How about an MD11 in the EuroCargo fleet instead of the 767-200 or alongside it. That would be real good!:8

My fav plane is the MD-11, I suggested it replace the Tristar a while back... Two planes on the Cargo Div. Class 6 could be too much... Anyways nice to see that somebody else supports the idea about the MD-11 joining the fleet.

About the contrails, Its probably early morning humidity or something related, dont quote me as I have about as much clue as any other FS fan out there...:)

Ok thanks. The 767 is a class 7 plane along with the 747 so i thought mabey we could replace it. Or it could replace the Tristar as you stated. but going back on topic. i think that this happens at all times of day and all times of the year

I would say the contrails are caused by as you said the air saturated with humidity at some extent, on that one the temperature is probably not far from the dew point, and mainly because, I think, on the pic it's pulling quite much in ressource, making it having enough G to create that effect. The evaporation temperature of water and any gaz is reduced with pressure, so when you pull G the vapor turns back to liquid water where the pressure is high. See fighters for example.
