Hi,

I am a huge helicopter fan!;D
However I am not sure if Euroharmony is the place for helicopters. I can't think how to exlpain it, but it seems that this airline is the place for planes (you don't get a helicopter section of BA or DHL) and it could mean that it is over-expanding. Next we have cars?

I don't know if I am making sense here, but I really don't know how to write it:)

We used to have a helicopter part of the airline... but I dont think there were any scheduled flights, kinda like the training birds we keep in the VFA. I would support it if it returned.

With "support it" you mean you'd keep the model, panels and files up to date,
create a repaint for it and always be on look out for a better version that better
fits the airline needs for this and at least the next two years to come?

i dont no anything about making the aircraft, but at the end of the day helis are getting use more and more as the days go bye, i love helis i think they are awesome, when flying yeh ok its short distances, but they are being used in buisness flights, especially down in the london area where we are. I think it is a great idea, and the thing about cars, we are flying FLIGHT and i do believe a helicopter is part of flight but a car isnt. IF it was something like boats or something like tht then yeh i agree, but helis is part of the flight simulator, and not all people like to fly planes

I'd love a helicopter section as well.

In regard to EHM-1365's post about over expanding, i dont agree, i think its a good idea, maybe attract a few more members, also you do get commercial helicopter flights, i'm sure you wont disagree, I can't name a company that offers them but its availible, I know someone who went to greece by helicopter, musta taken a while but they did.

I like the idea, although I do not know how could we implement this? In the past there were 2 choppers in the VFA fleet, therefore there was not any schedule for it. As I see in the sim world heli pilots use special sceneries also for heli operations. So it needs too much good surroundings...it is much more than building up a timetable. If you provide support, you should think of similar support instead.

Cars in the fleet? Surely not... ;D Instead a coach service first with doubledecker buses ;D Then we can build EuroHarmony Cab Co for linking the city with the airports ;D Oh no, just kidding... But if you want to ride a bus or car, I saw some driveable models on FSPLANET.

lol Robert ;D;D

I think I have been misunderstood a bit. Like I said, I know what I am thinking, just can't put it into words. I dont think it is neccissarily over-expanding, just too much at once maybe with all the other chanegs. It is just a thought. I think it would be great though having helis, and I completely aggree that it would bring in more people, its just a bit odd somewhere.....Don't listen to me, much easier that way ;)

with the cars I meant the ground vehicles, not getting a nice Lamborghini or something :D

PS>I love helis, I fly them all the time!!

I think I'm right in saying British Airways operates a number of big helos in the far north of Scotland, possibly even the Aberdeen to North Sea Rig routes...

EDIT: For myself, I'd love to see a return of helos to the EHM fold, even if it's just the JetRanger in the VFA fleet... (and longer term, the Agusta in the business fleet... ;D)

Hi again,

In my personal opinion i think that Euroharmony should have a timetable for helicopters.

About the sceneries, there isn't any need to have special sceneries, because if we use helicopters that can move (on ground), then they must follow the ground rules of any aircraft. That means, they should go via the taxiway to the runway and then take-off (of course more vertically than the planes ;) ).
The landing mode is done again on the landing runway, and after that, we move the heli to the taxiway for gates (or heli gate).

In a first approach, we could create just 10 flights per Hub just to get the feeling about how many pilots would try to fly them... Regional Flights.
If we look that there are many PIREP's about it, then we improve and upgrade our timetable, and, if a near future grab one or two more helis to our fleet :).

Of course this is just a personal thought... nothing more than that.

Well, here is the humble opinion of Razza.

Helicopters could bee implemented into a small division named, EuroXXXX, Obviously the XXXX is there as we don't have a name for this.

Here are some ideas for opperations

1. We could use helicopters as a VFA plane that operates sightseeing tours, special missions around Europe I volunteer to make!

2. Rescue Missions, http://www.avsim.com offers many sceneries for downed ships, accidents and emergencies.

3. Just fun flying. People who love helicopters for just general flying, exploring places and also visiting remote places, I.E ski resorts.

Even if this is a bit premature, my suggestions for the fleet would be a EuroCopter EC120 colbri, Aerospatiale AS350 and also the Default FS Bell 206

I would do all of this except the repaints. I would be quite happy to do the rest.

I remember we had the Augusta and the Eurocopter among a few others I cant remember of, as for the flights, I think Bruno's idea of a few regional flights operating from the Hub's just to try it out would be possibly best. About the tours... could try it out but it would have to be very short distance... Scotland?:P

Manu, I know its a lot of work!!! I dont know how to repaint planes though... As for the timetables and models, I would love working on those with Razza if he wants.

I'm going to start searching for models, but I think some management authorization is needed to know if this is actually going to be implemented or not...

Yes Alex, dont start searching because the Management didnt make any decision about it ... yet.

So, let's wait a little bit, the idea is on the air, ok ... let it flow ...

In the next days we surely can have a management opinion about it.
