Try Flying There!!!!!!

In honour of the American Superbowl, many VAs tried to have fly-ins into KJAX (Jacksonville). Unfortunately over 90 aircraft arrived there at the same time and the server overloaded. In order to actually land, the 1 controller (all the others had ditched), had to break the unspoken taboo and ask everyone to pause their simulators and slowly guide the aircraft in by unpausing one at a time and diverting to Miami. Many of the aircraft were forgotten about and continued in holding patterns for over an hour or were just given vectors and then left alone...
All because of football.

Cheers,
Jonny.

The main difference is, that in real world, planes arrive at a pre-determined time, like one plane every 3 minutes... not 90 planes at the same time. So, the amount of planes can be compared to real world, but the operations can't.
