FSX graphics cards
« on: April 23, 2010, 10:50:40 am »
Ive been FSX for a few months now but im wanting to get the graphics running a bit smoother.

My systems is currently this:-

Asus M3N-HD/HDMI motherboard
AMD Phenom 9550
XFX 8500GT Graphics
2GB Corsair XMS DDR2 Ram
Windows 7 Enterprise 32 Bit

Obviously im not made of money but any suggestions would be handy on improving my current system to cope a little better with FSX

Hi Ben,

Check out the below Avsim link, which may help you out in certain issues:

A long read, and note the disclaimer, but may be worthwhile to give a go on your Nvidia system to get more out of it.

Further, judging your system specs, you may want to get some additional ram: fsx never has enough of it. Maxing your available ram with an additional 2 GByte (since you have a 32bit opsys increasing to above 4 GByte is practically useless) should already show you a difference.

Cheers and good luck,
Stef
