Whenever I try to select a flight(both Propilot or non propilot) with the newest version of the flight logger, an error message appears: "Run-time error '6' : Overflow" and then the program will just close. Is this a problem with my computer settings or the logger? :%

Hi,

what are your regional options? do you use a coma or point as a decimal separator?. Sounds like something around that.

Tell us something

Um well I'm using English (US) and comma as decimal separator. How does it affect the functionality of the logger? :s

Thanks.

Basically when I try to fly the flight without choosing the flight from the timetable first the logger is able to record all the statistics like fuel burnt etc. But to submit a PIREP I have to select the flight from the timetable and as soon as I do that the error will appear, like the one shown below.

I was able to reproduce the error; it's related with fs2002 and I'm working on a solution for that.

I downloaded the new Flight Logger this morning and I'm still getting the same error with FS2002... Any ideas ?

Armando,

Sorry, didn't see your reply until now... I don't use MSN (not sure how to, to be honest)...

I actually fly with FS2002 and FS2004 but my set up is more stable with FS2002 so I was going to try to use the logger with this version as I sometimes get system crashes if using FS2004 while connected to the internet. The error I'm getting is the same one as in the first post of this topic and I use UK English and a full stop (.) as the decimal separator if that helps..?

My e-mail address is on my profile if you'd prefer to sort this out off forum...

Thanks in advance for your help,

Armando,

I've tried using the logger following your instructions last night. I managed to submit a PIREP successfully on one flight. :>

After that I tried another flight using propilot and the logger. However, upon landing I think I hit the runway too hard and i suppose the airplane was considered to have 'crashed'. I received a message in FS 02 that the logger ended logging at a particular time, but when I closed FS 02 to submit PIREP I saw the overflow error again. :{So the PIREP can't be submitted at all and it does not register my flight as a failed one.

That's all the testing that I did last night, shall try more propilot flights sometime soon and give more feedback.

Regards,

Ah and also, I don't understand why my navigation lights usually black out soon after take off so I have to fly in a pitch black cockpit throughout the flight in those that take place in the evenings. Does it have to do with the aeroplane failure algorithm?

EHM-1730, no. We don't change anything on the aircraft.

Just a thought - check the lighting in the Hardware tab of  Settings and ensure the slider is all the way to the right.

Check you are turning on the generators, otherwise you will lose all electrics about 10 mins after startup. There is no default shortcut key, assign one, I use Shift-K.

Can't remember if it's part of the "free" version, but certainly in the paid for FSUIPC there is a "Battery Protection" function that stops the battery running out altogether.

Armando,

I'm pleased to report that there's no more Overflow error when using the v3.0.4 Logger ;D

By the way, must my internet connection be 'on' all the time while making a flight with the logger started?

Hi Geof,

I'm glad it's working now;

Yes, you must have internet connection all the time; the logger sends your position to EHM every 30 sec.  and that is absolutely necessary for PP.

To Dominic... I hope it is working for you to..
