Possible fly-in ?
« on: October 03, 2006, 09:26:52 am »
Hi folks,

it is time to organize our first HUB fly-in ! :P What do you think, what could be a possible destination from Amsterdam? I was thinking about the Antilles, like TNCM-Santa Maria Int'l but that is too far, and would limited the guys that could possibly do the trip. Also it would take some 8 hours.

We need a closer destination for first ;) I would suggest to fly somewhere to Germany...say Frankfurt, or Münich. Both cities have very nice sceneries and nice airports.

What do ya think ?

AMD X4-955 3.2GHz / Gigabyte 770T / 4 GB DDR / Gigabyte GTS450 1GB DDR
Samsung 226BW@1680x1050 / WinXP.3 / FS9.1 / FSX.1 / Saitek Cyborg 3DGold

well Frankfurt is a nice airport so if your going Germany that would be the best option - can i suggest Copenhagen or Prague? :>  I think either of these airports would make a nice fly-in.....

What about EHAM-LSZH

Flight EHM-5150 is a popular flight (18 PIREP's) and not to long avg. flight time 1.01h
Maybe an option of flying together with LSZH hub, or just oppositof them (EHAM hub flies 5150, LSZH hub flies 5151)
"...and this is the very first Fokker airplane built. The Dutch call it the mother Fokker."

good idea to fly two hubs at the same time actually if that could be arranged - some could fly from EHAM and others could fly from LSZH in the opposite direction at the same time!! We could all pass each other halfway through the route...... even tip our wings to say hello lol :>

LOL ....maybe we can land somewhere and meet each other for a cup of coffee, before we continue our flight :]

Okay, if we are some EHAM pilots who are agree to make a fly-in to LSZH and we have a date already choosen, I will inform the LSZH Hub Captain for  our intention, so that this special event comes true.
But other suggestion are still welcome!

best regards,

Kendy
