Just what the name says. I can't promise we'll do them straight away, but all suggestions will go into the pot for the future.

A380 Launch Party! :)

Quote
Commencement Of A380 Scheduled Services

12 September 2007

Singapore Airlines will begin scheduled services with the new Airbus A380 between Singapore and Sydney on Sunday 28 October 2007.

The A380 will operate a daily return flight, replacing one of the three Boeing 747-400 services on the route. The aircraft will operate SQ221, departing Singapore in the evening and arriving into Sydney in the early morning, and return as SQ220, departing Sydney in the morning and arriving into Singapore in the early afternoon [see table below].

The 471-seat aircraft is configured in three classes: 12 Singapore Airlines Suites (on the main deck), 60 Business Class (on the upper deck) and 399 Economy Class seats (on both decks).

Singapore Airlines is delighted to begin its operations using the new A380 to Sydney, and travellers on the route can look forward to the world’s best inflight products, combined with the legendary Singapore Airlines service.

The Business and Economy Class cabin products are modelled on those launched in late 2006 and currently featuring on the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, to global acclaim. The new Singapore Airlines Suites will be unveiled at the delivery of the A380 in October, and will feature the ultimate inflight luxury, in a class beyond First.

As you may have gathered, I'm not v. experienced in VATSIM and so I don't know outright.
I'll check through it and come back to you guys.

[UPDATE]
VATSIM has only 18 divisions most outside of Europe.
Within Europe there are only 3 divisions:
UK
Russia
EURD - Rest of Europe (However, their latest event on their site is a OneSky from 2005!!)

Regarding online days they are not focused on countries but rather, on airports. Mostly they are all German ones (Frankfurt, Nurenberg, Hamburg etc.).

Again for info, their calendar page is:

Phil.

Maybe we should organize a Fly In with A 380 on the same route ( Singapore - Sydney ) at the same day as the real flight will take place. I think some A 380 would be available.

I just checked AVSIM File Library for A 380. The only one on disposition is Camil Valiquete's A 380 in Airbus livery. The file is: sa380.zip. But there is also a repaint of Singapore airlines available. The file name is: a380_sq.zip.

I remember seeing Germany and Austria have some weekly fly-ins on VATSIM, i forgot what day it was one though :[

I've got a Singapore Airlines A380 by Robert Versluys, its got a pretty accurate livery paint, i've merged a few panels together to get a good one :] Personally, i prefer the Robert Versluys' A380 ;D

On Flightsim.com:

singtext.zip - textures, only thing very wrong is the registration :]

a380_fd.zip - Flight Dynamics update

a388abus.zip - base pack

For my panel i merged a380v1f9.zip with the Ken Mitchell A340 panel :8
