Amsterdam Hub Tour - Consultation
« on: October 02, 2007, 12:46:43 pm »
Hello fellow pilots.
This is a topic made for everyone to make suggestions about airports that should be included in the tour.

The general outline so far is:
Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Caribbean, Netherlands EHAM.

Any suggestions for places, please post them below.

I lived on Curacao during my youth, flying back to Holland for hollidays with the Connie,so it seems nice to go back during the tour to Hato airport.

Cheers,
Jaap

I believe there was a topic like this in the past, but still, i follow Jaap on this. I would love to see EHAM-TNCC vice versa in the general timetable.

I agree with both of you and TNCC will be added to the tour.
I'm surprised that TNCC isn't in our flight schedule and I'll see to it that we add it soon.

So, on the off-topic, if you want to add flights to our schedule, please e-mail or U2U me with suggestions because we need to add all the new flights together. It is too dificult technically to add one flight every week. Instead let's get 5-8 new flights and we will add them into the timetable.

My favourite aircraft. I vote for Philip's idea.

How about adding TNCM and the infamous beach overfly on the finals?
St. Maarten also has some nice sceneries too.

The idea of island-hopping made me think, why not make it some kind of island-hop-job-tour.
For example EHAM-EHMZ-EHTX-EHAL-EDWR-EDWJ-EDWY-EDWL-EDWG-EDXY-EKST-EKMN-EKCH-TNCM-TNCA-TNCB-TNCC-EHAM.

Nice idea!

I'll check all these destinations out (I'm not familiar with all the ICAO codes in your list) and let you know.
I can spot some very interesting places in the list already.
One more consideration from my side, as tour designer, is to try and find free sceneries for as many of the destinations as possible.
Charts can also be found especially for all EU places as by law they must be made availabel and Free of Charge.

I found a scenery for the German islands on fsplanet. I don't know this scenery, but will have a look at it.

http://www.fsplanet.com/28092006.htm if you want to check it for yourself.

Thanks for the contribution Niels,

I'll check it as well and I'll let you know.
Also, if you check this too, can you let me know your views before next Wednesday's Meet'n'Greet session as I want to discuss this with the participants.

Many thanks,

Sotiris
