Barack Obama ProPilot Event (new!)
« on: January 02, 2009, 04:12:20 am »
Dear pilots,

We present you a new ProPilot event to be flown in January:

On 20th January the world will watch one of the historical moments in our history: The first african-born man will be the president of United States of America.
To celebrate this moment, most of the world countries presidents will join the ceremony that will take place in front of the White House, in Washington.
So, EuroHarmony was the company choosen by most of the countries leaders to transport them there.
You can be one of the pilots to transport one world country president to the ceremony!

The instructions are:
1.Identify one country that you wish to fly the president to United States;
2. Select one of these 5 airplanes: Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing 747-400, Airbus A380, MD-11 or Airbus A340-500;
3. Send an email to Javier (at) fly-euroharmony.com with your country and airplane to fly;
4. Wait for Javier's confirmation. If the country is already reserved to another pilot he will tell you to choose another one;
5. There are some countries that have a middle airport stop: There are two airports for the middle stops:
GCLP (Canarias) for African, Middle-East and Western Asian countries!
PHNL (Honolulu) for Eastern Asia, Australia and New Zealand Countries!

6. The return legs are done by the same stop airports used!
7. The return legs are done from 21st to 25st January!
8.Remember!!!! ALL legs should be flown on the weekend of 17th and 18th January!.
9. The deadline to reserve a country is 15th January.

Please check the Events page to choose the country that you wish to represent. And be quick so other pilot can't reserve your country!

Can I clarify? I take it that only pilots of appropriate rank to fly one of these 3 designated aircraft will be eligible to participate in this event?

Hello eveybody:

   In addition to the airplanes listed above, you can also use the A380 and the B747. Come on, pack your baggage and choose a country!

   Best regards,

   Javier Luque.

Ian,

The ProPilot events are special events that can be flown by every pilot's rank.

So, step in an reserve your country and airplane!

It could be a small fly-in too with "relatively" similar departures at Dulles Int'l ;)

AMD X4-955 3.2GHz / Gigabyte 770T / 4 GB DDR / Gigabyte GTS450 1GB DDR
Samsung 226BW@1680x1050 / WinXP.3 / FS9.1 / FSX.1 / Saitek Cyborg 3DGold

Happy New Year guys,

Robert, we're thinking of something similar with Trevor, Kristoff and the guys.
Depending on the time (not too early or too late, say 17z-19z) I'd be glad to do the group flight.
Co-incidentally, I've also got KIAD installed from last months when we had the Atlantic Crossing event.

So, drop a line here or on e-mail, and we'll be there :)
What a start to the new year!!
(It will also stop Miguel telling me I will be inactive soon :) )

Just a silly(?) question on group flying: I recognize Barack Obama is unique but, can he be at different places (planes) at the same time?;D
I still don't know if I can make it, but just in case, I am ready with my B763 in Sao Paulo (SBGR). Remember, Lula da Silva was the first and only SAM president Obama ever called.
I hope this week will know for sure whether I will be in the event.

Good pilots keep their number of landings equal to their number of takeoffs. Takeoffs are optional but landings are Mandatory.

Hi Hector,

The idea is to transport the President of the respective countries to assist the cerimony, not to transport Barack itself ;D

Hello,

Just some "silly" questions: Will this event be present in flight logger (Pro Pilot) system? For the PiRep, what flight number can be used? For flying online, what callsign we should use?

Happy flights!

Hi,

The airplanes and the flight are going to be loaded on the system on friday.

So, check your airplane on saturday early morning on your departure airport.

The Event will be present on Flight Logger as usual, yes. The flight number is automatically assigned by the system.

On IVAO, always use your pilot id (for instance, my pilot id is "EHM-0948" so I use "EHM948" on IVAO).

Remember: You don't need to fly the flights on IVAO to complete the Event, just use Flight Logger
