sb4 makes FSX stop

Hello everyone.

I mustn't be the only one with this problem on FSX.

I have FSX, FSX Euroharmony aircraft, FSPassengers X, Madeira X and SquawkBox 4.

The problem occures only when i am online in VATSIM with sb4. It happens at different points of the flight, it can happen at the start, middle or at the end.
The FSX stops working and all that remains from the simulator is the sound, the picture freezes and the Task Manager displays MFSX as not responding.

I haven't been able to complete a flight in the company for a month now. :[

I also ask anyone with the same problem to join this topic please.

Could you please post the specifications of your computer system - Processor type and speed, memory, graphics card, operating system etc -  it might be that your PC is not fast enough to cope with all the things you're asking it to do..? If not, there may be a conflict with one of the programs you are using. I don't use Squawkbox but if it always happens as you say when using this software, you should check out the support page for SB4 or post on their forum as other users may have an answer for you

Why not try a flight offline with no unnecessary addons running and see if that works, that way you can narrow down what programs work ok together step by step...

Thankyou for your quick answer.

My computer is build on an Asus P6T SE motherboard. Inside Core i7 at 2.7GHZ x8, 6GB memory RAM 1600ghz speed DDR3, nVidia GTS250 512mb dedicated memory DDR3, i can get 30fps always and steady in high quality no problem. 7200rpm 500GB hard drive.
The OS is the Windows Vista 64bit.

I will also contact the Squwak Box forum for some answers, thanks.

Regarding the add-ons. Offline i use Madeira X and FSPassengers X and the FSX never crashes. When i go online and use squak box with or without the add-ons, at some part of the flight the FSX crashes as i mentioned before.

I've found a couple of forum threads indicating that SB4 doesn't work well with FSX (for these people anyway):-

Hello Alexander and everyone.

Dominic i have cheked out the above forum as suggested.

I have tried everything that they have suggest and nothing seems to fix the problem.
uPnP and SSID disabeling - didnt work
crash detection off - didnt work
runing the program as outside the fsx - didnt work - must be run as module

Alexander, does FSINN uses the same server as SB4 in VATSIM?

It's an awful long while since I last flew on VATSIM (a year or more) but I only ever used FSInn, and yes, it talks to the exact same servers as SB4.

As to why FSI, I just preferred it's look, similar to IVAP (for IVAO) so it just felt familiar.

Thanks for that iv downloaded the FSInn and im still getting used to it, now the problem is that it doesnt connect to VATSIM and im doing everything by the book.

Everyone, above is the forum where i posted my error message from windows, posted 2, they are very similar.

Its the very first time i have problems with MSFS, im thinking at the moment to just go back to FS9 for now untill something like SB5 or something comes out. My computer specs are good enough to run FS2004 at full quality and speed with loads of add-ons and still be more reliable than FSX but as we all know FSX is just beautiful, literaly amazing graphics, i feel fustrated really 

However i wont quit the search for a resolution to this problem and as soon as i have something solid will put it on this thread.

I have a different problem but i will put it here as problems appear to be put here. 
Most of my shortcuts have stopped working such as ones to switch cockpit screens and areas, also the radio has stopped transmitting and it worked yesterday.  One by one, all my key shortcuts are stopping.
HELP, what can i do??? :'(

2 questions for you Ashley, what software are you talking about when you say your shortcut keys have stopped working, and almost as important, which MSFS are you connecting it to?

I am now downgraded to FS2004 with all the add-ons i have and use FsInn and CoPilot 1.3 and 1.7 and everything is fine i can even see traffic wich is something i also had trouble in on FS2004 because of the usual anti-virus and compatability issues.

So i am a happy chap, thanks everyone for the replies. 

I also found FSInn a better program then SB4, better just better, see you in the skies. Safe landings.
