EHM Fly-in Sunday June 14 - 18z

Dear Pilots,

Summer is here and it's time to get our best summer clothes, a large glass of cocktail, sunglasses and head for the sun!

For this event we will be visiting two of the most popular summer destination of the eastern Mediterranean.

We will depart from CAIRO (HECA), its famous landmarks and sandy beaches and head for the partying clubs of

RODOS (LGRP) with its venetian castles and vibrant night times.

Come with us to a journey linking two of the seven wonders of the ancient world. From the Pyramids at Giza to the Colossus of Rhodes.
There to greet you will be the excellent ATC's of the Hellenic and Egyptian divisions. You are all invited.
We will be awaiting you from Sunday the 14th of June at 18z.

A nice fly-in that was...

In the beginning it looked like we would have no ATC, but then... I don't know whether it was clockwork preparation, pure luck or Sotiris being very persuasive but we ended up having ATC on most of the flight.

Upon arrival it became obvious I was the only one NOT to use updated scenery, and the horrifying result can be seen here:

To get in line with Sotiris, Trevor and Franz I had to slew from "my" apron to "theirs". And I had to stay in slew mode, otherwise I was sure to crash when switching to normal mode.

This incident set apart, it was great. Looking forward to the next fly-in.
