I have recently reinstalled my Windows and also reinstalled FS2004. But not completely, only made a fake installation and pointed the new registry keys to the original place. I tried to copy over the old FS9.cfg too, but that did not work well, so I had to setup some parts again. All-in-all, I almost have a nice working FS system, I already booked 3 PIREPs with all the add-ons. But...
If I fly with an add-on aircraft sound set, the sound becames incredibly LOUD in Tower view, when the viewpoint is "far from the airport and flying with the aircraft". I do not hear this bug at default aircrafts. I am not much experienced in sound editing. I just realized that default sound sets are coming with 4 variations of "whine noise" while add-on versions are done with 5 or 6 different ones. I cannot decide if this bug comes from the new installation or not...
Anybody have similar experience, or an idea maybe ? Thx a lot.
