Dear UK types,
If, like me, you are sick of Simon Cowell attempting to muscle the Xmas no. 1 slot each and every year, you may want to participate in the "Cage Against The Machine" movement this year in an effort to stop Mr. Cowell hoovering up more air-time and cash.
The idea is that you buy John Cage's silent masterpiece 4'33" from any one of a number of sellers (or the album which features 7 further remixes... might be hard to get your head around that one, but trust me on this...), and if enough of us do this, it'll be another year of Xmas without Mr Cowell mewling about how wonderful he is. (And yes, I took part in the successful Rage Against The Machine effort last Xmas as well). Proceeds are going to a number of charities, including a Tinnitus charity (which my father suffers from quite badly, and I'm starting to get...), so you'll not be wasting money in any way.
