Journey to the west: Denver
« on: March 21, 2005, 08:34:35 pm »
Hi friends,

last weekend, I thought I will try FS2004 in a transcontinental retour flight. I selected a destination, that is very famous about it is the largest area airport in the World: DIA, or Denver International Airport. It has 6 runways, in a 4+2 parallel config.

Unfortunately, the route from London to Denver was during the night, so I could not take interesting pictures. But the return trip in the morning was more interesting:

Leading the convoy for takeoff. United Airlines planes in the background:

Amazing airport in the desert at 5000' asl:

Heading toward Greenland in the afternoon:

Flying home in the sunset:

Flying over Greenland, going into the polar-lights area:

On final approach over London Eastend. Weather is foggy, as usual:

Landed on a busy airport in the dawn:

WOW, Great shots, I love the head on angle of the 747, with the clouds behind, seems quite nasty weather though, in britain we never usually have bad weather:]:%

Thanks for the kind words...anyway, I cannot think of a time when I have a nice clear blue sky over England :)

I posted these images, so to check out the system of this image-hosting provider, but it seems very slow to me. Do not you know a faster one?

Hi Robert,

I didn't notice it being slow the first time, but now I really see what you mean. Unfortunately I don't know of any image hosts - I always use my own.

Good luck in finding one though.
