Project Opensky B767 V4
« on: April 07, 2005, 08:45:10 pm »
Dear pilots,

as some of you B767 lovers already know, Project Opensky released their brand new 767 V4 model. The -300 variant nicely fit into the EroHarmony fleet, which owns the model from IFDG. Our current model is not a nice ballerina either, but I tried the new POSKY model and have mixed feelings:

For first, it looks superb, detail is as high as possible, and gives a good framerate. Dynamics is strange. It maybe sounds bad ;D but being the Fleet Manager, I do not have a clue, how a real 767 flies. I just feel, that this new POSKY model flies very different from the other available freeware planes, I could ever fly. Although they said, dynamics is tested with real pilots, so quality is sure...

If anyone of you have tested the plane, please let me know, if it worth to replace our current IFDG model?

Thanks, Robert.

I tried and liked it a lot, thought it was a big improvement of the current one in the fleet. Always had a few weight troubles with the current one. I agree with what you say about the details, they are brilliant. Obviously I neither have ever flown a real life 767, but I like the way the new POsky one handles. Thats just my opinion :).

PS. If you are looking for a good B763 model, the Level-D is fantastic! A possible addition to payware support in the future ;) ? (Repaint kit here)

I totally agree with ben, robert, the Level D 767 i purchased it recently and it is proberly one of the best aircraft i have ever flown on FS. The FMC is absolutly fantastic (wen u master it lol)

I had problems aswell with the weight ben in the one on our fleet, it was difficult to climb above FL240.]

:;D

There are issues with some of our fleet and to a point where I feel if the plane doesn't cut the mustard then for goodness sake just drop it from the fleet. I recently flew the 767-300 from the class 6 fleet and had real stability issues above 28000 feet. On autopilot it wanted to drop the nose (even at a 500' climb) and this to my mind is just completely unrepresentative of real life. Any opinions?

I am sorry, I thought we have the IFDG model, but we have the old POSKY model :( Anyway, I added the modified dynamics to the 767 page, provided me by Brent Stewart, EHM-1029 :)
