here is a small summary of the event:

The online flying coordinator did not manage to get of the ground in Bern for various reasons on which we will not elaborate here :). Let's just keep it at that he parked his plane in the lawn at the end of the Rwy.

He went online as ATC at Heathrow Approach and saw the following:

Bruno dissapeared in the famous England channel triangle of doom.

Gergely took off without 14% fuel to be able to get airborne from the short runway. As a result of that he had no fuel left for two of this four engines on approach. He still made it for a beautiful landing but no juice left to taxi. We had to tow him to the gate

Ben informed London CTR of my failure to get airborne even before I got online as Approach. Gossip travels extermely fast in the sky's over europe. As it was a birthday I ignored it but next time Ben will travel a lot of circles over the UK on my watch...

Murray could not make up his mind on which STAR to fly and changed twice in mid flight. Although I have no proof of it I strongly suspect him of landing upside down or sideways.

Desmond was the last to arrive and made a perfect landing. These are the pilots we are looking for! I think next time Desmond has to go first to set an example for us all.

There were many others who joined in for this fly in. A lot of people made it for the first leg from Zurich to Bern. quite a few others took of for the second leg from Bern to London but sadly could not finish.

All in all this was a great event!! Keep it up Euroharmony for the next year and we will be the number 1 VA in the world! Thank you all for a great evening!!

And I forgot the mention that we still need to get a repair crew to Bern to pick up this 738 parked there in the middle of the fields.

Hi Cyriel,

unfortunately I could not come, due to a really long last day of week, spent in the office until 8pm. When I got home, I was sure, almost everybody already landed at Bern. Next to it, on thursday evening my spare HDD went sleep and forgot everything that was stored on it. So I lost all my MP3 musics, movies, spare programs, EHM backups...and who knows what else. These all made me very sad, and I felt I am not in a good mood to join the fly-in...

Afterall, I am ready to fly again, so I will prepare a rescue crew with spareparts, and fly to Bern ASAP. I hope I can join the team for the next event...

Should not we start a SAR helicopter to the Channel for picking up The Chief ? ;D

Bye for all.

It was a lot of fun, lets hope this year brings a lot more fly-ins!

Sorry I could not be there for the 2nd leg, I hear you guys had a great time.

I was second last out of LSZH cos my annoying brother was on the PC (must get my own) and last into Bern.

I had a missed approach into Bern cos I'm about a mile from the threshold at a 30 degree angle from the centerline, and he syas EHM1617 clrd to land. I'm thinking what? I was expecting the ILS and instead he gave me a really short visual. I was still doing 140KIAS cos I thought it was the initial approach. There was no indication that he wanted me to nail a right turn and slap her down. I was at 2500ft and a hill was looming up in front of me, so I make a quick climb to 4500ft and report that I am avoiding terrain.

Then he gives the the full ILS and I am ready for it this time. I make a really soft landing and the imaginary passengers applaud. Last in. I got about 1/4 of the way to EGLL after a nice short-field 737-800 tkof, before I ran out of time.

A great fly-in! I will definitely attend more.

I blame you entirely for that Cyriel ;D

I request BIG3C, you tell me BIG3B.

I manoeuver for BIG3B, you clear me for BIG3C... :@

One engine on the B1900D was wide open at landing (FS engine decouple... I have assigned a hotkey in FSUIPC for "Couple engines" now...) Much the same happened at Heathrow in the Lear (along with the spoilers not deploying, even though they were armed), but thankfully the 27's are massively long and I could get the engines under control.

I took off from Bern in a 767 (did not realise that runway was so short), and because of the strain FS crashed and it took 10 minutes to get going again (Making excuse for being last).
Nice to have all the ATC in the UK, and a friendly welcome.

Can't wait till next ime

Hi,

For the third time I didnt manage to end a fly inn ... :$

This time, when I was on the air taking photos and putting them on Paint Shop Pro, on an ALT-TAB changing to the FS2004 completely "armed" with ActiveSky + Zurich Scenery I got a "tlim" sound and I never saw FS2004 running again.

This time was not the electric power, this time was not a problem at the office, but a $"#$#" of windows da$##mn my head!!!! ...

I am going crazy about this, because every time i do a flight (and I only do one per month because of EHM developping) I didnt finish it! ..

Now, I took some measures. I was using Fs2004 over Win2k Adv Server. Just now I am writing this message on a new brand Windows XP + SP2 installation on my laptop.

Next time, let's see who wins. Me or the computer.

Regards and congratulations to everyone. The Fly In event is everytime geting more pilots!
