Generator Switches on Saab 2000 Panel
« on: May 01, 2005, 06:29:06 pm »
As the title - where are the generator switches on the suggested Saab 2000 panel. I was just trying to do my 1st flight in it, but I ran out of electrical power and couldn't find the Gen switches.

Thanks

Not sure Ian....what i suggest is assigning a key or joystick button to turn on/off the generators. This can be found within the options menu when in flight simulator, then, once you have fired the old girl up, just press that key and hey presto!! Doesn't matter if there is a switch in the cockpit or not. Hope that helps, certainly cured my mid air disasters!! Jim

OK I'll try that. It was quite scary, seeing as most of the panel is dominated by computer screens. Maybe there is a switch and it'll catch my eye when I see it moving. Have you voted in the poll yet, about you favourite aircraft?

Yep, have voted....CRJ200 for me every time! From memory, i'm pretty sure that there is not a cockpit switch for the generators in the Saab...just assign a keyboard key and it should be fine...think it was the Saab that made me have to do that as well?

Well, I advice you to use the FSNORDIC version panel. It is very nice and accurate, and have generator switches ;)

You can find it at www.fsnordic.net, then go to File Library/Flight Simulator Files/Panels/Saab/Saab 2000 panel for FS2002. It works in FS2004 as well. You can ignore the attached Aircraft.cfg and AIR file in the package, as our default one is more fresh.

Good luck, it is really a good plane ;)

It works now, I have assinged Shift+K to generators.

I'll get the better panel when I have time to install it.
