Quick question for the management, can i use class one aircraft for flights from other classes eg 2 and 3. Th ereason i ask is i have just recently bought the PMDG B1900D and it's a pleasure to fly - however, with the flight logger, if i select a class 2 or 3 flight then it wont let me fly the B1900D - is this just a logger bug or company policy?? Cheers, Jim

I must admit I thought this was OK. I once got my knuckles rapped for flying from spain to the UK in a VFA aircraft however as this rule doesn't apply to VFA aircraft. Outside that however EHM does allow any pilot to fly any plane allowed by his or her rank ... unless somebody tells me differently.

The rules are as follows (taken from the Ops Manual, but in my own words I think):

On class 1 to 3 routes, you can fly class 1 to 3 planes.
On class 4 to 6 routes, you can fly class 4 to 6 planes.
On class 7 routes, you can only fly class 7 planes.

So you can fly turboprobs onl class 1 to 3 routes, and you can fly jets on class 4 to 6 routes, but you can only fly class 7 on class 7 routes.

The above is provided that your rank allows you to do both the flight and the plane.

If you use a different class plane from the flight, then you must submit the PIREP manually.

You cannot use VFA aircraft on Scheduled routes, however, some tours require you to use one.

As I know you can fly all turboprops you want on class 1 - 3 flights
And all jets you want on class 4 - 6 flights and only class 7 flights have been done only in class 7 aircraft

of course all depending on your rank.... :>

please correct me, if I said something wrong :o :%
