Let beat the PIREP record!
« on: May 06, 2005, 05:53:27 pm »
Dear pilots,

This month I have a challenge to all of you : Let's beat the history PIREP monthly record that we have : 1083.

At the time that I wrote this post, we were on the 145.

I will continue giving feedback about the total pireps made as time passes.

Regards,

EHM-1343 Jonathan

why the hell would people cheat...dosn't that just make the whole thing a lot less fun...the whole point is to get closer and closer to the NICE planes...and if you ACTUALLY work your way towards it then you can feel like you have set a goal and reached it!!

Yeah, Chris, you´re absolutely right!
If you have to reach another rank to fly your favourite bird, it´s like fuel to do some more flights.

And as an ATP, I can say nothing changes, if you have achieved the highest rank.... you won´t get money for it, you don´t have more luck than others or something. :% :%
The only thing that changes is, that you can report your flights with the bigger planes.

If you are an FO or an CC and you want to fly the 747 and can´t live without no more ;D , ok, no problem, you can do it. But not for EuroHarmony and not reported.......

So there´s absolutely no reason for cheating in my opinion!!

Greets!

Unfortunately we are very far away from breaking the record. :[

The time i wrote this post, we had 348 pireps registered so far ... And we need to beat the 1083 pireps.

We got 861 on february, 862 on March, 777 on April and go on 348 on May.

I'm working on a EHM repaint for the Flight 1 ATR 72-500 right now, should have a beta version later tonight.
When it's good enough I'll send it to EHM if any people and the management are interrested.

Small recall : Flight 1 has been selected by ATR to develop this addon.
I use it because it's highly realistic, it uses the FDAU, Hotel mode, etc.. like the rel one.

Early version, the engines are not done yet, and I have to correct some placement.
Let me know what I should correct, thank you :P

Thanks. It's finished already, just need the management to tell me where I should put the immatriculation of the plane, what country it should be from, and tell me what small stuff I should correct...

But I can't send any screenshot right now because FS2004 is intalled on my IBM 75GXP, the most (in)famous HDD they screwed. When I launch FS, it growls and crashes my computer (low level formatted it last week, but this time it's screwed back after a few days :/ )

Have to backup everything, buy a new HDD, and throw it away (or burn it after all the troubles it brought me).

I'll post an official thread for the repaint when I get the new HDD (in a few days if I can manage financially).

Pierre (Maabaa),

I recomend you keep in touch with Robert (Fleet Manager) about this. Your work is welcome, but you first need to synchronize with him about what you are doing.

Also, the PIREP count goes on 467. We are almost at 50% to beat the record.
