I think it worths it. I bought it about 110 US Dollars and the price was so good. It is very different to have a throttle seperated from the joystick. You have to cordinate both of them and it is not that easy like you do from a roller which is on your joystick. ;) It is fun and a little bit challange...

Dear Chris: Don't be confused. Want it! :D

Dear Manuel: I am not sure that there is a right handed throttle. You have to ask it from Saitek, Sorry that I couldn't help.

See you...

I have a Saitek X45 as well.  Got it in January and have no trouble with it at all (performance wise).  Only thing I don't like is the throttle is stiff once you first start using it, and you'll need suction cups to hold the throttle down so it doesn't jump forward.  I got mine for 65 dollars at Best Buy, and I think it was worth it!  The throttle looks like an F-16's throttle and it has lots of buttons (useful though)...one of the buttons can extract the landing gear, and the throttle has these circular things on the top and the side of it (rotate left and right)...top controls rudder movement, not sure what the other one does.  And to this day, the joystick is still a bit stiff but at least I don't need suction cups anymore.  Got my 65 dollars worth! ;D

You could set one of the throttle buttons to arming the autothrottle like they do in the airliners.

I like when they say: "autopilot coming out" whoop whoop "auto throttle coming out" and then there's that little clicky noise while the captain disconnects it with his thumb.
