Schedule enrichment?

Hi,

I noticed these days that there are only a few short-range flights with Jets. For example in Greece, there is no domestic flight to be flawn by a Jet from Athens (LGAV) to any other Greek airport except a cargo flight to and from Thessaloniki (LGTS). On the other hand there are two routes LGKR-LGIR-LGRP and LGRP-LGIR-LGKR flawn by class 5. The last one is ok but I think it is not realistic doing all LGAV to domestoc Greek airports with props. I just mentioned the Greek scheduled as I usually fly in this area but I think a similar situation exists in UK as well. Don't you think it may be time to enrich the schedules given that real life airlines fly such short flights with jets as well?

Hi Ionathan,

We antecipated your post already :) ...

We are already working on improving the LGAV timetable. This is complex because it is need a lot of airport analysis and destination mesurings ...

So, all I can say is that we are working on that, at least for LGAV for now.

Regards and thank you for your comments.

Glad to hear that. I understand how difficult it is to create a new schedule or modify one (maybe the second is even more difficult) as I tried once to start my VA but quit due to lack of time. Anyway, just in case it might be helpful for you I can tell you that in real life the Greec airports which are directly connected with LGAV via Jet flights and therefore can host a jet are the following:

LGTS, LGIR, LGSA, LGSR, LGMT, LGKR, LGRP, LGKO, LGLM, LGAL, LGKV from which LGTS and LGRP do have an ILS facility.
They are served basicaly by 737s and 717s (small and medium jets) but LGTS, LGRP, LGKR, LGIR, LGAL are also suitable for landing heavies. Apart from that LGKR and LGRP are visitors attravtions duting the summer as you may know and the national aircarrier had even used 747s in the past.

I hope I helped a bit.

I think the situation is same in the other large countries, where more international airports / "famous places" exists, the higher amount of passengers, or the shorter trips are covered by jets.

For example Hungary is a bad example, as we have only 1 international airport, and there is not domestic air service at all.

Dear Ionathan,

I understand your point but I think it is necessary for the new pilots who can not fly with jets. But if you prefer you can use any plane which is completeable with your rank in these routes as I know. And I believe that your new hub captain will improve Greece Hub as soon as possible... ;) It is very time consuming to have new routes as mentinoed... :D

Fly safely, land safely... ;)

Kind of regards...
