I still think that the Microsoft SideWinder is the best

Or the Saitek X-45

The Saitek Cyborg Evo at $39.95 is also a good one

Click here for a complete list of aal the Saitek Models available

I have both the saitek x-45 and the MS SideW.

Edit: Unfortunately I have given you the most expensive option of Saitek .. the X-45 sells at $79.95
After my first post I did some searching for you and came up with The Saitek Joysticks pricelist where you can see and review other Saitek masterpieces, starting at a mere $15 and ending at $60 .. Therefore the X-45 is a real exception in the Saitek legacy

Actually if you are looking for defined center point in a joystick, then you should not get the Cyborg Evo as the spring tends to loosen after use and you get an area of looseness.......but if you don't mind that the cyborg evo is actually a comfortable choice........

If you want a proper yoke, the choices aren't all that many... the CH gear is probably the best quality at the cheaper end of the market, and they have a USB version that'll play nicely with their USB rudder and throttle sets.

If you suddenly come into a shed-load of cash, PFC (precision flight controls) make some truely lovely yokes, using real airplane handles, but they cost a lot...

The X45 is the best quality cheap HOTAS I've had a chance to play with hands on (at my local PC World, admittedly...).

Personally, I love my Sidewinder FF (as currently configured) and until someone comes up with an FF yoke that works I won't be changing sticks unless I have to.

And more specifically, I want one of these with the Beech yoke... (I'm not greedy, it's not like I want one of their jetliner cockpit setups...)

Drool...

Hi Tim!

To be honest with you, I don't prefer yokes for Flight Simulator. I got the CH FlightSim Yoke a few years back and it works well, but somehow it doesn't feel right with FS.

I prefer a joystick for FS, and the MS Sidewinder FFP2 does a pretty good job! The problem with it is that you might wanna buy a seperate throttle quadrant with it (which I still haven't done yet) because the one on the joystick itself is too small and uncomfortable.

However if you are looking for a yoke, CH has the best to offer for an affordable price. I have no idea where to find it anywhere else than the Luchtvaart Hobby Shop (in the Netherlands), though... perhaps SimWare.com?

Just to say thanks for all the help you lot gave me. And if I do strike it rich, i might just get those really expensive flight yokes!;D

I have the Microsoft Sidewinder FFP2 and its ok its just I want to try somethings else and compare what a flight yoke flys like with me.;)

Oh and if I were going to get one I would get it from www.flightstore.co.uk they have a kinda bundle pack with the CH flight yoke and pedals with a copy of FS2004.
