Well, here's another brilliant plan to cope with the increasing amounts of traffic at AMS. These are just early plans, but the 6th runway is definitive. Plans for a few new terminals are definitive too, but where exactly they're gonna be placed is still uncertain. I made a map of Schiphol's new situation with PSP8 below this 3D image of AMS' future.

Appearently, Haarlemmermeer has a lot of money to spend, so I suggest they build a new, higher control tower along with the new changes :P High enough to even handle 18R-36L

I don't think that a 6th runway will be build at that location. There is an industry park at the start of that 06R runway that would be demolished for that.

And why expand, KLM disapears in the next decade and EHAM will be a portal for Paris and Air France with a HSL connection.

Oeps that sounds very pessimistic, I realy would like to see EHAM grow. :)

And they would have to demolish Rozenburg too... the smallest town I've ever seen :P

I'm sure they'll build a new one.. with lower fences that won't obstruct your view :P

No problem with the current fence at that spot when I shot this bird.

That terminal looks very nice! I can't wait for Indianapolis International to get finished. It's the biggest airport near me. Right now the terminal is very old and dark. The new terminal will be one big open room! Very futuristic looking! I'll try and find pics of it.

Spotting in Romania

And everyone jumped except for me (I was there just for the fun of it, not for amateur sky-diving ;D):

It is.  When I went there (in real life) it took 25 minutes to taxi from the gate to the runway!

I landed at the "new" runway at EHAM (virtualy) and I had to taxi for 20 minutes. So I guess it's a pretty realistic thing, and annoying. <-- I don't like taxiing, I like flying.

They started using it basically as soon as it was first used in real life.
