ProPilot version 0.9.0
« on: November 10, 2005, 09:16:22 pm »
Dear pilots,

We proudly announce a new ProPilot version, 0.9.0 (we jumped 0.8.9).

This version has some additional features listed bellow:

- When the pilot fills the crash report, he must base his report relative to the ACARS information shown bellow the report textbox.

- Extra penalties (for instance airplane crashes) now appear on your Pilot information area.

- On the pilot's lounge shows new statistics (number of crashed airplanes, relation between total flights/ airplanes crashed, etc).

- List of penalties now appears on the pilot's lounge.

- The airplane crashes do not show on the Pilot's lounge but on a link on the same sector.

- The TOP TEN FAC (not the global FAC pilot's list) is now based on the last 30 flight days.

This new version covers some requests by our pilots. Next one will have more features.

Regards,

I notice that in the list of penalties ID2 (strobe lights not on when engines started), the Beacon has to be on prior to engine start, the strobes should be switched on prior to entering the runway, and remain on until vacating the runway after landing.

Hi Bruce,

Unfortunately we cannot detect that now.

Currently Armando is developping the "Take-off detection" system. It means that for now our Flight Logger doesn't "know" when you are taxiing or when you are going for a Take-off.

So, after that development, we can implement more penalties, for instance the "25kn IAS passed" or the strobes.

Also, the strobes are not fully required but only when is very bad weather or when the airplane is passing a thunderstorm.

Just a quick point on the above Bruno,

Quite often when at EHAM when using 18R, we get cleared for high speed taxi which can be up to 50kn IAS. Is there any possibility this could be taken in to account if the strobes for take off feature is implemented.

Cheers,
