I believe (would want to check) it's "automatic traffic information service".

As for length of wait, it can be as little as a couple of hours and as much as a day; it really all depends on how busy the department is.

ATIS stands for automatic terminal information service (or occasionally system). Yes, it is, it also contains the runways and approaches in use, the ID letter of the ATIS, the transition level and altitude etc etc

I got 50/100 so it says I failed. I was a bit suprised, as most of those I knew for sure, I think it was TCAS, because I can't remember about that much. I only look at it for distance, nothing else.

Don't get down about it Matt - as you've seen lots of us don't do terrifically well on the IVAO exams first time around.

The thing to do now is get a copy of your full results ("edit" the exam on the main IVAO training dept site) and go find out the right answers for all the ones you got wrong (and then check your answers with the IVAO-GB training dept - Luke/Ben will confirm/deny your new answers if you ask nicely).

I've carried out this reasonably simple procedure on every IVAO exam I've taken (quite a few now...) and it definitely helps me get things clear in my mind.

Heh i can see why now you only look for distance, after you thought i nearly crashed you when i was Manchester Control.
