\'Select Flight\' in Flight Logger ...
« on: November 13, 2005, 06:32:00 pm »
It's wonderful to be back with Euroharmony after a bit of time away (two years I believe) to do 'life' things.

I'm having an issue with the Flight Logger though:
I'm able to select my aircraft, double click on the flight I want to make, select the ramp/gate I start at, and FS does everthing it should - I get moved to the airport and start at the right gate.

The issue I have is that the flight logger doesn't seem to recognise that I'm doing that flight as such, as when I go to submit the pirep later, I get a box saying that I must select the aircraft and flight before submitting - which as far as I can tell I have done!

One thing I notice, the 'selected flight' light is always blinking red - never green (unlike the plane once selected), and doesn't say that I have a flight selected at all! Is it something I'm not doing correctly? How do I correctly select the flight??!!

Are you using Pro Pilot as well?

Hi, wellcome back

first, sorry for not having a decent help yet, but I'm still working on some new features/improvements to the Logger;

Anyway, first you should select a flight by 'left' clicking the flight row and automatically you get the aircrafts allowed for that flight; by 'right' clicking the flight row you get some options like getting the flight info or choose the gate of departure (which can be accessed by double clicking the flight row).

If you have more doubts, try to call me on MSN.

Regards
Armando Chibante

Tried all you say there but the programme still isn't playing ball!

It seems nothing I do actually 'selects' the flight and turns the flashing red icon green. I'm doing this in regular flight logger - not ProPilot (which I'm very much looking forward to once I can get it to work for me!)

Have you tried to re-install it again??

As far as I know you have to select a flight (click it once) and select the aircraft in the list on the left top of the page. (click it once)

That's all!

I fly the Europe tour, and I do it this way. (and it works good!)

Daft question, but you are selecting the right class of aircraft for the flight you want to do?

It's ok - I welcome all, daft or not!

I am only able to do class 1 flights so I only have those to select.

Am I right in thinking, that when you select a flight, it then appears below your chosen aircraft, and the green light disappears? Does anything also happen to the 'Flight plan' button underneath that when selected? If so - it's definately not working for me. :{

I encountered a very similar problem when clicking on the flight with it having absolutely no effect! The problem fixed itself soon after, however while it was there, the way I got around it was:

  • To Left click: Hold down the right mouse button, then click with the left
  • To right click: Hold down left button and click with the right.

It may have been the other way round....see if it works for you :|
