I dont know the reason why this happened,i have try everything i know about PC problems,i erase the FS,i installed it
again,but it doesn't work.
All the other programs run smooth and nice, the anti-virus NOD-32 said that everything is under control and there is no
problem with viruses,but the FS-2004 doesn't work...
My machine is Pentium 4 2.66Ghz,512 MB ram,Windows XP pro v2002 with SP2,Nvidia FX5500 at 256MB
I cant sleep,i cant eat,i cant make love to my wife,i have loose 10kg of weight, but the worse is that i am playing
NFS Underground all day long.
I feel i am gonna die.....i feel lonely.....i need   H  E  L  P !  !  !  !

Hi Theo,

you could try Windows without SP2, but I know that would be a hard thing to make. Could you explain better why FS does not work? Is it loaded but always crashing...or it does not want to load at all...or what is happening ?

AMD X4-955 3.2GHz / Gigabyte 770T / 4 GB DDR / Gigabyte GTS450 1GB DDR
Samsung 226BW@1680x1050 / WinXP.3 / FS9.1 / FSX.1 / Saitek Cyborg 3DGold

What add-ons, service packs etc have you added recently to FlightSim?

Have you installed the new FSUIPC? Some are having crashes with that.

Have you got the PMDG 747 - some are having crashes with that as they are with the PSS 777.

How far does FS get before crashing? Have you selected a flight or is it the preliminary load?

When you uninstalled FS did you do it properly with add/remove programs or, even better, putting disk 1 into the cdrom and clicking uninstall? If not that may be your problem.

Thanks for your attention...

The FS starts to load, until the first screensaver(DC-3).Then it stops suddenly. The FSUIPC version is the 3.48
I dont have any add-ons u mentioned, the last one is Active Sky,and i have the FS9Update(tha one that puts bridges)
When i uninstalled it i put disk1 and make it from there.....
Dont know whats wrong...

Does it give you an error when it stops loading? If yes what is it?
My FS2004 takes for about 3 mn to load. All that time it displays only the splash screen with the DC3.

The time it takes to load seems to be directly related to the number of planes installed.

It sounds to me like there is something in the start-up it can't process. When you did the uninstall, did you then just uninstall and then install again or did you delete the fs9 folder. Because if you didn't then the files that stopped it from working might still have been in the folders. I have a problem like that once, where it was a file in the module folder that my fs didn't like. My only advice is to uninstall and delete the folder. Then install again. Once you have a total clean install. Then try to start the fs, and if it works, then begin to install FSUIPC and the aircrafts you use. A little advice is don't install to much at the time. Install one aircraft and a panel and if the fs still is able to run then move on to the next. Hope this is of some help to you, because I feel for you and your wife. So we have better get you into the air again

Hmm.
Open System Properties via Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System.
Select the Advanced tab and then click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section.
In System Failure section, clear the checkbox next to Automatically Restart
Click OK and OK to exit.

Next time it crashes, you will see an error message on a blue screen, instead of your  PC rebooting. Note the error message somewhere (the lots of hexadecimal numbers are not necessary), then post it here. It might give a hint.

Otherwise buy a Lamborghini in NFS Most Wanted, and tune it to add wings ;D
You can add the EHM colors ^^

Anyway if NFSU works fine, then your hardware should be fine. Strange.

And for your wife... You can paint her with EHM colors... But I don't know if it will help :s

My suggestion: Take your current Flight Simulator folder and either move it to another folder/hard drive (if you have the space) or just delete it entirely, then start again with a brand new installation of FS 9.1.

Had a similar problem at the beginning of the year where FS crashed to desktop on load. Still haven't the faintest idea what caused it, but the pain of a reinstall was far shorter than the pain of days spent desparately hunting for a solution.

Love it! Why do you think I haven't flown for a week! No Kidding, have been working, but NFSMW is better than Underground 2 if you want my opinion.

Well almost sold there, but would have to buy on the PS2, or invest in a DVD drive for my PC :% (time to leave the dark ages I guess).

A simple DVD drive is really cheap.
Yes, Most Wanted is really good, they rethought it.
They put back the cops, and the cars are nice, almost all in sport version already when you get them.
No more night racing though, and much less visual tuning choice than in NFSU2.
The nitro refills slowly when you drive fast enough, etc... Many changes.
The background story is better, the whole game is more like a movie, with a more complex scenario. The interactive music is made by the compositor who made the music for "Gone in 60 Seconds"..
You get my point, it's worth getting it :>
