Missing Flights

:[ What happened to all the flights from Leeds Bradford EGNM, there use to be loads of flights from there, now there like 3 flights, There use to be flights from leeds to Amsterdam and various other places, but since the websitre when down they gone. Thats the not the only airport where the flights are screwed up, some flights from Prague, Brno and various airports are messed, e.g. LKPR - LKTB ( 30min flight to a small airport ) has been put as a C5, it use to be a Class 2 flight. What happened it's all messed up, someone needs to take a closer look at the flight timetable it's all messed up.

The timetable isn't messed up actually, its exactly as it should be. Quite a while before the site went down a completely new timetable was introduced.

The timetable is now more realistic than before as a lot of flights are now to either the hubs or to the other large airports. There are less flights from regional airports to other regional airports, as in the case of Leeds-Bradford, because we wanted to make things as realistic as possible.

There is actually more variety as the hubs and other large airports now have more flights than they did before.

The reason that class 2 flight is now a class 5 is because the timetable now takes into account the amount of passengers likely to be on a flight, not just the distance the two airports are from each other. I don't know about the two airports you mentioned, but for example EGLL and EHAM are not very far apart, it was something like class 3 before, now it is class 5 because both cities are so large.

Hi,

the fact the timetable seems to be 'messed up' is because we decided to create a more realistic one.

This also involves that planes start/arrive only from/to hubs. In the 'old' timetable, we just introduced flights no matter where the huba and planes were. Now every plane has it's individual schedule; for example, for every flight starting at EGNM, a plane has to fly to EGNM first, from EGLL (or some other hub).

On a similar note, if LKPR-LKTB was operated by a Class 2 plane, we'd first need to get a Class 2 plane to LKPR, from Zurich, Amsterdam or Stockholm to fly that flight, and it wouldn't be quite economical. As there's already a Class 5 plane that does the ESSA-LKPR flight, we just make another stop in its itinerary, to LKTB.

Hmm that sure makes it easier for people like me who likes to make interconnected flights!
