Hi folks,
after Bruno offered a little group flight I decided to join. There were technical difficulties at the beginning but finally we managed to get airborn. As usual I was the last in the convoy

We flew from Roma to Samedan (LIRA-LSZS)
Over Italia, it was very nice and quiet:

Then we realized we are heading toward an airfield with visual landing, no ATC, and rocky mountains all around it. And to be very easy, a nasty fog layer covered the airfield that was laying at the bottom of a valley. Before I could saw that, I suddenly crashed into the ground and had to maintain some more altitude in SLEW mode

The airfield looked like this on final. And yes, I could follow only those 4 spots, the PAPI lights:

Before the touchdown I got into the fog and did not see anything...it sounds strange but I landed after my senses

All I could see was this:

When landed, I could see only the runway that is quite snowy and icy:

After landed and stopped, went offline...and heck, I was ran off the runway already, but with offline weather the airfield looked really different LOL

What I have learnt from it ? Well, I will never fly visual again opver the Alps

and will follow my charts if I have any, and will not crash into a mountain...
