Dom & Phil -
Well to be honest, it really didn't take that long to produce the video itself as it was such a short flight.
I started on Sunday by purchasing and installing FRAPS which is a great little program for recording your FS screen. (and other games!) I spent Sunday evening playing around with my settings and getting used to the program.
Most of my free time on monday was spent researching public domain music which is of course a minefield as most music that is free of broadcast rights has a very high purchase price. I found a nice little website called
www.yopo.co.uk which has a couple of free to use downloads and also it has quite a lot of purchase stuff that is reasonably priced.
Finally last night I spent about 1 hour performing and recording the flight then about 2 hours editing the clips and putting the movie together with the music. (all in all the video part was done in less than 3 hours) Then a further 4 hours were spent finding a suitable free host for the video..... This was one problem that although I had thought about it before filming, I hadn't done anything about it so again long hours were spent trawling the interweb.
The next attempt will be higher quality. (I heavily shrank the resolution and quality as I thought there would be more restrictions on the video hosting websites) and I will spend more time making the movie itself now that I have done a lot of the legwork. I will probably use Pinnacle Studio to edit the video as well so it should have better transitions between scenes.

I would be more than happy to have a go, maybe you could open it up as a competition for everyone to have a go, I will include the links below for anyone who is interested to get started.
LINKS:
FRAPS - Video Recording Software (a free download is available but it is limited to making 30 second clips (not a problem as you can make multiple clips) and has the FRAPS banner on the recorded content)
http://www.fraps.com/Music - As putting your video on the internet is considered broadcasting you have to use music that is public domain or purchased with the right to do so. A couple of free downloads are available at:
www.yopo.co.ukVideo Host - Well there are hundreds available but I found this one to offer the best free service as there are no download limits and they give you 25mb of storage. (The video above is 4.5mb so I will only get 4 or 5 uploaded before one is deleted or I have to look elsewhere)
Hope this helps any of you budding video producers like me, I hope to get a few more people get interested and we get some great little videos.
To all, thanks for your kind words, although time consuming, it is very satisfying to see the end result. I still maintain that it could and should have been a lot bettter, the next one will be, I promise!
