some flight number errors
« on: March 05, 2006, 05:46:20 pm »
In my automated flight e-mail(which i have set for class 1 to 4)i received as a flight NO 5655 this flight is a class 5 not 4,BUT there is a cargo flight from egcc lppt(same as 5655)but for some reason this is class 4.As i flew the flight is it acceptable to file it as the cargo flight?as i spent over two hours on this trip i was a bit miffed when i couldnt file it.
Cheers(i hope that lot makes some sense)
Andy

Hi

I would like to apologise for the problem with the flight you were assigned - was an oversight of different division's classes. The problem should be now resolved.
---

As for filing it as a cargo flight: I think you mean as a EuroHolidays flight ;)
The rules clearly state that...
Quote
All divisions have their own fleet and timetables. For example, you can’t fly an EuroBusiness plane on an
EuroCargo flight, or a EuroHarmony plane on an EuroHolidays flight.

Personally, as there was a technical fault I wouldn't mind if you did file as an EHO flight, providing it is a one-off and you check the flights more carefully before you fly them in the future.

I have found another little bug in the A.F.A.S. I got my 4 weekly flights today, one of them was a flight S009. I'm rather sure that it's not surpose to include tours or in this case event flights. Just have a look at it when you get the time. There is no reason to include flight you can't file a PiRep on.

Howdy

Thanks for the information - I didn't realise the event flights were in the main timetable. Will check this out now.

Hey Ben,

I found another little bug or whatever you want to call it i A.F.A.S. I have now for the 3rd time in the last month got my weekly e-mail with my 4 flights. But only three flight, the last one is an empty record. First time was 4 weeks ago then again last week and now again today. I don't if we for some reason have an empty record in the database or something. But it would nice if you could exclude that record from being sent, just like tours and other special flights.

I'm back again (sorry)

I don't know if it surpose to be this way. But I have just noticed that the flight for the US Airmail Pioneers Event can be seen in the timetabel. You can't log them in ProPilot, but you can see them in the timetabel. I would just mention this, in case it shouldn't be that way.
