Auto throttle problems (Ken Mitchel Panel)
« on: April 22, 2006, 07:29:21 pm »
Good evening all
I don't no if anybody has experienced this but if find when i take off and start to climb in the 320 i have autopilot set but not armed and likewise the auto throttle, when i have retracted undercarriage and flaps i then select speed(usually set for 250kts),but often nothing happens ie the autothrottle should take over but doesn't and its only after fiddling about that i can get it to engage.Any thoughts?this is the Ken Mitchel panel witch otherwise is fine and is rather good too.
Cheers Andy

Hi Andy.
I have found that you have to ensure that the speed button is NOT selected and the Auto throttle is not selected, I then set the required speed in the window and set the Auto throttle, then when you require the Auto throttle to take over press the speed button, and it should work every time. Hope this helps.
