This is the training session I did with Matt and Ben...

The flight we did was WBSB to WBAK

Somehow, without using slew, Ben's plane was sliding about everywhere...

3 of us at WBSB...

Everyone holding short of runway 21...

Everyone after takeoff, I am in the lead;D

Climbing, they are still behind, slowing down for them

20nm from WBAK, i start descending while they were still cruising...

Me on finals, with Matt not too far behind, Ben still behind some clouds...

Me landing, lousy visibility meant you could only see the runway lights when you were 2nm from it...

Matt landing with me lighting up the runway for him...

Matt turning off the runway...

Ben's plane doing something wierd again, this time sinking into the ground despite a smooth landing...

After that, Ben's plane skid around the airport, moving too fast for me to get a picture of it.

And now for a group photo...

As Matt used slew to come to me and Ben, he crashed into us, Ben and I were loaded back to WBSB while Matt flipped and broke a wing off.:]:]:]

Comments appreciated.

Don't worry Conrad, before takeoff, I was talking about Squawk Mode Charlie, but did anyone listen? :{

It was a great flight, but Ben got lost in a cloud, and was 20nm behind me at one point!

whatever you say Javier:)

My landing was a bit rough, I didn't see the runway until I was about 1nm away from it. I didn't see the beacon light either, so It was kind of luck with instruments.

BTW, apparently I am clumsy enough to fly into a cloud and get lost 20NM away!!

Steve,

Squawk Mode Charlie is basically setting your transponder to active!

On the IVaP panel you have a switch that says "Standby" and "Transmit" (Or TX or Mode C depending on what skin you use) When online as you enter on to the Runway and before takeoff you switch this to Transmit or TX or Mode C. At the end of your flight, when you are on the ground, when you leave the runway before you taxi to the gate you switch this to Standby.

This switch turns your transponder on which transmits the data about your aircraft on the network, its the same in real life, it gives your Radar signature an Identity so the controller can see the relevant information about your aircraft like Heading and Altitude etc.

Hope that helps.

Also, when theres no ATC, always turn your transponder to C when airborne, so other people can see you on TCAS!
