Jet sound set problem.
« on: May 18, 2004, 08:05:37 pm »
Hi folks,

I wanted to download a good sound set for my jets. All of the authors said "..as real as possible !" so I downloaded some of them. The sounds are fantastic in some cases:
- fine screaming at idle/spinup/shutdown from outside
- "vacuum cleaner" ;D from the cockpit

And then I took off and came the surprise. At high RPM the engine sound turned from screaming to rumbling and roaring and became an incredible and unbearable sound. I heard real turbines spinning up on the ground to high speed, but the sound did not turn to roaring, it kept screaming on higher level and highr frequency...

One of the sets told me I should change the FS2002.cfg for perfect result. But I did not hear any difference.

So, as real as possible ???

AMD X4-955 3.2GHz / Gigabyte 770T / 4 GB DDR / Gigabyte GTS450 1GB DDR
Samsung 226BW@1680x1050 / WinXP.3 / FS9.1 / FSX.1 / Saitek Cyborg 3DGold
