EDDF - LOWI with the Timster!

Welcome aboard EuroHarmony's Boeing 737-800, PMDG Variant. We are loaded fairly light today, and we expect a departure from runway 18 at EDDF.

For those interested todays route was EDDF DCT ROTEN DCT ALGOI DCT LOWI

The cruise alt was FL290 (29000ft)

We were eventually got clearence from EDDF_TWR and proceeded to the HP of 18.

Tim departed first and then we received clearence to head DCT to ROTEN, our first waypoint.

Acceleration above Fl100.

Smoothly climbing to Final Cruise level FL290.

Before you all go on about RWY 26 being the easier approach, Passenger comfort allways comes first ;D Starting descent before ALGOI and heading into some bumpy looking Cumulus clouds at the higher levels.

Weather has cleared up nicely in the Wien Valley and we proceed direct to the Rattenburg NDB at 9500ft.

Tim receives his approach clearence, and mine soon follows.

"EuroHarmony 1343 you are cleared LOC east approach runway 26, left heading 220 and report established on the Localizer"
I read back and Comply!.

"Localizer established, EuroHarmony 1343"
The fantastic ATC then instructs me to proceed on the Localizer to the AB NDD, and after crossing it, I am to land visually. I reduce speed early to ensure a smooth GS interception and a nice approach.

The AB NDB swings to the right as we pass it, so i prepare to disengage the AP and land with only visual reference.

Just slightly high judging by the PAPI lights, a problem i corrected seconds later.

After a smooth touchdown on 26, i apply reversers and we slow down rapidly. ATC instructs me to taxi via Alpha to the company traffic, which was Tim in his BBJ 737-700..

Here is a shot of a SAS Airbus getting it all wrong on approach while we shut down.

Thanks to Tim of the great company, and especially Dieter Salz on LOVV_CTR - Allways great to fly when he is around!

Mine...

At EDDF, worst ATC EVER! Really bugged me off...

Finally departing, Razza still taxiing...

Direct to ROTEN...

I cocked up my landing, when the plane started slideing left (crosswind?) of the runway! :$ Heres Razza doing a better job...

God, if that was with FS passengers, that co-pilot would have last his voice with that speed!

Great pics otherwise!

Nice to see that the Cartoon Network livery is still popular among some of us.

The idea of making such repaint is based on a Fox Kids (formal kidz channel in Holland) livery that was actually used by Martin Air! Link: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0717851/M/ (I think EHM did a better job :) )

Beautiful shots R & T!

And I agree, the EHM livery beats the Martinair hands-down ;)

Well...it is the standard panel, but i have changed the display arrangment...this can be done by clicking on PMDG in the FS menu, then clicking on options....

From there, you can change the EICAS panel layout, the colours of the A/P dials and also the display colours...depending on my mood, i change the colours and dials about.
Some of my other setups include...

All i can find for now.
I remember having it all pink n purple for valentines day...and red and green at xmas!

Hahaha! Razza's creative streak comes out. Who thinks the United Nations should declare EHM's birthday as an international holiday? ;D

Just 1 pic from the return leg again completed on IVAO with Tim. Langen Radar (EDFF_CTR) was great, but the weather was very very bumpy, as it was all around Europe. As you can see from this photo, they were massive and Tim and I spent about 15 mins trying to find a small gap between them!
