This time, when i start FS, this message comes out:
"the version of FS2004 detected is not compatible with this version of FSUIPC!It is build 9.01.40901...You need the correct version of FS2004.

Check the Help-About: the build should be 9.00.30612.

FSUIPC will terminate when you select ok "

After that, this next message will popup:
"Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled.

File: FSUIPC.dll"

Then, FS shuts down.

what is this about? I just downloaded lots of stuff and this happened after i downloaded the last 2 stuff i wanted.

Now, i cant even start FS.:'(

i had something saying

"FSUIPC is jot compatible. DO NOT COPY FILES!"

but if I just restart my computer, it goes away. Just try that.

Javier, are you running "not yet paid for" FSUIPC?

Easiest way to avoid problems (whether you have an official key or not (Matt... ;))) is to always run the current version from Pete Dowson's homepage:-

http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

If you think you might just get "serious" about flight simming, it's most definitely worth while buying FSUIPC, maybe in the much cheaper pack with a WideFS key... A whole swage of problems just vanish once you're using "paid for" FSUIPC, and the extra functions that paying for it unlocks are worth the registration fee alone.

Logically I would suggest you uninstall the last two addons and try it, maybe even try a rollback to yesterdays settings if one is available.

I have heard of some copy protection on a certain companies Payware Products that causes FS to crash out. Make sure you are using Legitimate freeware or "paid for" products. Can you give us some details as to what it was that you installed to get these problems?

What the weird thing is, is I've got the real one. It's just some kind of bug, and it only happens once in a while, so I've learnt to ignore it.

Javier, I haven;t a clue what to do!

Matt,

No accusations from me...

How long ago did you buy the key, and what version of FSUIPC are you running?

Did you get it directly from the URL I gave above? Pete himself will only warrant the DLL if downloaded from there or from his forum on the SimFlight network...

I guess I was accusing you of having fraudulent software then! :o

That's not what I meant, just I have come across links to products in Forums etc. (especially Torrent downloads) that claim to be freeware when actually they are Payware products. Just make sure that you don't have a product that you thought may be freeware that is actually payware is what I was trying to say.

Sorry for the confusion.

HI,

I have the not paid yet version since my parents dont allow me to buy it, the previous 2 addons, 1 KC10 textures and a F117 with a fix and panel, they were freeware downkloads and they came in a zip file, so the only way to uninstall is to delete them, i've just started my computer after a nights sleep, and the problem is still there.

Is there a way to uninstall FSUIPC? I dont know where.

Ive just deleted FSUIPC.dll, FSUPIC configuration settings and the FSUIPC Registration entries from the 'modules' folder in FS, and it works fine.

but then, when loading to the flight, a message comes out "squawkbox could not be started becasue FSUIPC is not properly installed"

do i need squawkbox to fly on IVAO or offline? if not, i'll uninstall Squawkbox.

and now i gotta reinstall FSUIPC

Javier, you really need FSUIPC, most addons like IVAP, SQBOX, FSINN, and EHM Flight Logger use this interface.

Squawk Box is a peice of 3rd party software that allows you to connect to VATSIM and IVAO for online flying. You don't need it unless you want to fly online on VATSIM. If you only fly on IVAO I would suggest uninstalling it and replacing with the IVaP client which I find more stable.

Can I ask why you use Squawkbox & IVAP for online at IVAO? The IVAP client is a direct replacement for Squawkbox isn't it?

I don't know if you meant me, but this is my answer if it was directed at me.

I don't use Squawkbox. When I was just starting to learn about online flying, I was told I need Squawkbox, but that person was from Vatsim. At the time, I hadn't a clue what was going on, so I just installed it. Then I went to IVAO, and downloaded IVAP, so my Squawkbox is never used, and never will be used, it's just kind of...there.

OK, on closer inspection Javier, I don't think Squawk Box is the problem anyway!

It looks like the info you posted at the top of the page shows that you are using FS2004 with the 9.1 patch. The new versions of FSUIPC (From about 3.5 onwards) only work on a patched copy of FS2004. It could be that you are trying to install an older version of FSUIPC that was maybe included with one of the Downloads you got. I would just re-install the latest version 3.65 and see if it cures your problem first.

Oy! Already!

Jav... my post near the top contains a direct link to Peter Dowsons "homepage" (three guesses who is the author of FSUIPC... ;))
